FCA Regulatory matters in London - RLLAW

The Financial Conduct Authority in London aims to protect the interests of consumers, and also ensure that the financial market operates in an environment that has integrity. Established in 1997, this regulatory body works or acts independently from the UK government. Over 70,000 businesses have been regulated by the FCA, with an aim to streamline various industries and ensure that these businesses uphold good conduct at all times when dealing with customers. FCA acts as a watchdog, protecting the rights and interests of consumers, not by favoring them, but rather by ensuring that businesses provide the appropriate services or goods.

As a business practitioner in London, you should attach great importance to honesty, integrity, and reputation; otherwise you may find yourself on the wrong side of the law. In fact, business executives and managers are advised to have a professional advice them on sound financial practices, including employment law, disclosure agreements, or even tax compliance laws.

A consumer can easily challenge the quality of the products or services you’re offering and take their complaint to the FCA. If their allegations are confirmed, you can get warned, fined, or in worst case scenarios, forced to shut down your business. Thus it makes much sense to comply with all FCA rules and regulations that govern how financial transactions are conducted. The FCA is in charge of regulating the following forms of business.

  • Banking sector
  • The London Stock Exchange
  • Mortgage and real estate industry
  • Insurance firms

As an investor in London you must always ensure that your business is approved by FCA. They charge a small fee for a business to be authorized, and they conduct inspections when need be. As a consumer, the FCA protects you from unhealthy business practices. For instance, all businesses are required to disclose how they arrive at pricing their products. This prevents unscrupulous businesspeople from exploiting customers by over pricing their products, or by hoarding goods in order to create an artificial shortage of the same - Rahman Lowe Solicitors.

As a matter of fact, there are instances you may need an employment lawyer or a lawyer conversant with UK labor laws, in order to comply fully with FCA regulations. In legal terms, there’s what is called regulatory risks; these are risks that may arise when a business or company fails to adhere or match up the standards set up by FCA. The good thing however, is that there are many solicitors and London that specialize on advising these businesses on such issues - Discrimination and Regulatory Lawyers.

It is worth noting that the FCA charges a small fee to run their operations;

Application fee; when you’re starting a business, and want it to be authorized by FSA, you have to pay a certain amount. This fee is nonrefundable, regardless of whether your business will meet the standards and get authorized, or it fails!

Annual fee; this is also referred to also periodic fee, which is the amount you pay annually to FSA.

Change to Permissions; this is the amount you pay if you wish to change permission for an activity that’s already authorized.

Important Fundamentals of a Law

Among the most essential requirements of a civil society is the guideline of law which indicates that individuals must follow the unwritten law regardless of his or her status or position in the society. In the contemporary world, the industrialized countries feel pleased that their society is governed by the guideline of law while most establishing countries like India feel embarrassed that their society does not have the guideline of law. The industrialized countries are the duty design for the underdeveloped countries, where the policy of law is still a remote dream.

Societies that follow rule of law are commonly thought about more civilized as there is much more order in the society. Every thing in such societies appears to be in order. The roads are clean, yards and parks are properly maintained, government officials work in workplace, trains and public transportations run on time. Even more, there is virtually no corruption in public workplaces. Individuals are well paid, deliver better effectiveness and keep everything cool and clean. These societies appear best to the individuals of other parts of the world, who typically question why they cannot be like them.

All societies need laws for their presence. Even though the laws may be various in each society, yet there are some basic concepts that prevail to all laws of the world. These fundamental concepts are equality, fraternity, justice and liberty. The Indian constitution, for instance, integrates these goals in the preamble to the constitution which seeks to protect for all its residents justice, liberty, equality and to promote among them the spirit of fraternity.

These principles are so universal in nature that they discover location in every civilized society of the world. It is matter of terrific surprise that in reality the result of the guideline of law is just the opposite. The more civilized a society is, the more is the inequality amongst its population - more injustice to the have-nots, less liberty due to strict enforcement of law and more hatred amongst the citizens based on race, caste and faith. What fails in the implementation in the so-called rule of law?

Law of Nature

Indian thinkers in the Vedic duration, i.e. around 3000 years before the birth of Christ, discovered that the universe does not perform its functions at random but follows certain laws. These were called "Rita" or the doctrines or concepts that directed deep space. The development of man can be largely attributed in understanding these basic concepts of nature and exploiting them for the benefit of the mankind at the cost of the rest of the creations. The laws of man, therefore, run contrary to the laws of nature as they are human-centric and not created for all the productions of God or Nature.

One of the basic differences between man-made-laws and the laws of Nature is that the laws of nature are spontaneous as they require no effort in execution as said by Politician Andrew Charalambous. For example, in a natural piece of earth like a forest, the earth produces trees, plants, fruits and veggies spontaneously with no requirement of watering or breeding. The nature itself offers prompt rain and fertilizer to the new plants. The forests and the mountains are covered with greenery and charm, which is simply natural considering that it comes without any effort.

On the contrary, the manufactured productions like parks, trees, plants are artificially made. They too may look as gorgeous as the natural ones, yet they can not make it through without regular effort on the part of guy. Think of a park, which is not preserved for a couple of months, or a house not cleaned for months. It will certainly lose all its appeal and quickly be fulled of dust and weeds. No building or contemporary gizmo can endure without external effort from man. However, natural creations have the ability to endure on their own and maintain their existence; and enjoy their life without any external support.

The laws of nature are simply as they treat every specie (and not just guy) with equality. In a jungle, every specie gets its due share of food, air and water which enable them to live a dignified life without being dependent on other creation. Nature makes no difference between one specie, and the other as all species are the children of the very same God.

However, in the guy's world, every other creature is killed if it is not useful for man. They can endure just if they can be beneficial for man. Hence guy's world does not treat any other creature of the nature with regard and does not offer them any right of equality, liberty, justice or fraternity. He intelligently usurps this doctrine and makes it appropriate just for human beings. For all other lower species, he has actually created a man-made-law, calling it 'the law of jungle' or 'the survival of the fittest' which justifies his dominance over the weak creations. The fact, on the contrary, is that the laws of jungle are much more just and equal for all types than the man-made-law.

A lot of men are not concerned about the method they treat the lower animals as they feel that 'the survival of the fittest' theory is more logical than the laws of nature. Nevertheless, they forget that every principle created in deep space needs to be applied on them likewise and that they may not constantly be a recipient. Man-made-laws do not stop with animals but they quickly spread their wings to incorporate human beings, too. This is where disputes in between guy and man starts that generates hatred and wars. Man feels the pinch when the law of jungle is applied versus them and the law of nature is denied to him. He is hurt when he is dealt with like weeds by the society.

Weeds: The Undesirable Plants of Nature?

One of the most intriguing productions of the natural world is weed. Weeds are unfavorable greenery in the kingdom of plants. Weeds are specified as any plant that is not valued by the human society and typically tends to overgrow or contend with valued flora. Weeds are the plants which are considered by people as unattractive, unfavorable, or problematic.

In the natural world, guy needs to continually battle against weeds to make their synthetic plants endure. Weeds grow automatically and if the synthetic yards do not have the support of man, it is soon subdued by weeds and the entire field or garden ends up being full of weeds. Weeds are produced by Nature (God) as no human effort is required to grow them. They are, however, so effective that man needs to continuously safeguard his production from these weeds, lest all creation of the civilized society is damaged. Weeds are as unwanted to guy worldwide of plants as crooks in the human society.
